He was predeceased by: his mother Elizabeth Johnson of Ankeny, IA.. He is survived by: his father Jerold Johnson; his sister Diane Hacker (Johnson); his nephew Luke Hacker; his niece Megan Bedford (Hacker); and his great-nieces, Brooke Bedford and Taylor.

Memorial contributions may be made to Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, Iowa.
