He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Horn and Edith Van Horn (Baird); his son Russell; and his brothers, Frank, Dean, Paul and Robert.
He is survived by: his wife Ernella Balster; his daughters, Kathy Runchey (Joe) of Wahpeton, IA and Cheryl Brisbois (Terry) of Pocahontas; his grandchildren, Angela Strobel (Joe), Jennifer Boerjan (Andy) and Mahmoud Karim; and his great grandchildren, Payton, Brayden Strobel, Maya and Tyson Butler.
