She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Stromley and Nettie Stromley (Halvorson); her husband Francis "Gizz" Hommez; her daughter Debra Martin of Cedar Rapids; and her siblings, Orville Stromley, Carl Jr. (Stomley), Kenneth Stromley, Loretta Hoffland, Ruth Patterson, Louise McPhail, Mary Jane Stomley, Rose Riekow and Gladys Groth.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Eberling (Roger) of St. Ansgar, Beckie Countryman (Tony) of Tipton and Mark Hommez (Angie) of St. Ansgar; her son-in-law Paul Martin of Cedar Rapids; her great grandchildren, Mikaela, Jacob Eberling, Hunter and Cohen Linnell; and her sisters, Mary Jane Rieman, Lillian Warrington, Betty Tollefson and Diane Petznick (Victory). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
