He was predeceased by: his parents, LaVaughn Heaberlin (Long) and Jim Heaberlin; and his grandsons, David Alan Scovel and Jeremy Tyler Achenbach. He is survived by: his wife Karen May Heaberlin (Hunter); his daughters, Rhonda Krohn (John) of Prairie City, Susan Heaberlin of Pleasantville and Beth Love (Cory) of Macedonia; his son-in-law Chris Scovel of Pleasantville; his grandchildren, Denise Scovel of Prairie City, Stacy Scovel of Des Moines, Jessica Scovel of Newton, Michael Achenbach of Adair, James Love of Guthrie Center, Jennifer Love and Zayla Love of Macedonia; and his brother Steven Heaberlin (Joann) of Indianola. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
