With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bernard W. Lucas of Nora Springs, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 1, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Lucas and Auguste Lucas (Kroeger); his daughter Deborah; his sister Ellanora; and his great grandchild Aubre.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Phelan; his sons, Randy (Susan) and Tim (Betty); his grandchildren, Matt (Courtne), Becky (Greg), Jennifer (Nick), Erin (Nate), Brittanie (Blake), Abby (Jon) and Tom; and his brother Carl (Darlene). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in Bernie's name to the Humane Society of North Iowa, as he was an avid dog lover.
