She was predeceased by: her parents, Hector Newman and Clara Newman (Gross); her son Daniel Evanson; her grandson Jeremiah Miller; and her brothers, Ralph, George and Bob.
She is survived by: her children, Dawn Brown (Brett), David Evanson, Dennis Evanson and Brenda Conradson Clark (Roger); and her grandchildren, Joslyn Evanson, Taylor Evanson, David Evanson II, Amy Evanson, Mary Evanson, Heather Voelker, Dennis Evanson Jr., Melissa Evanson, Joe Clark, Jason Clark, Jennifer Clark and Jenna Hall. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be directed in Mardel's name to her family which will be later designated elsewhere.
