She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Boggess and Mabel Boggess (Frazee); her husband Samuel; her siblings, Grace Griffin, Lillian Schmitt, Clarinda Thoe, Maebelle Boggess, Melvin, Vern, Jack, Lawrence, Elmer, Leonard, Wendall and Harlie Boggess; and her son-in-law Russ Bass of Charles City.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Shearman (Dennis) of Ionia, Lois Mahan (Jack) of Colwell, Diane Dietzenbach (Darryl) of New Hampton and Rick Houser (Donna) of New Hampton; her foster son Francis Hotchkiss of Salinas, CA.; and her grandchildren, Denise Goodrich (Dale) of Fredericksburg, Terry Bass (Jan) of Pensacola, FL., Steve Bass (Karla) of Urbandale, IA, Lori Lechtenberg (Zach Moorman) of Fredericksburg, IA, Ryan Dietzenbach (Trishia) of Oelwein, IA., Tyler Dietzenbach (Caysee Trumblee) of Clarksville, IA., Steph Scott (Richard) of New Hampton, David Houser of Charles City, IA. and Nicole Houser (Shane Morris) of Charles City, IA. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
