She was predeceased by: her parents, Willy J. Schulz and Bertha Schulz (Krenz); her husband Walter Throm; and her brothers, Wilbert Schulz and Frederich Schulz.
She is survived by: her daughter Tiffany Knox (Kevin) of Muscatine; her grandsons, Jacob Knox (Antonia) of Muscatine and Jonah Knox of Iowa City; and her great grandchildren, Kylo and Alora.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Our Savior Lutheran Church in memory of Sandy.
