He was predeceased by: his parents, Celedonio Rangel and Virginia Rangel (Bravo); and his siblings, Gavino Rangel, Arnulfo Rangel, Benito Rangel and Adelaida Carranza.
He is survived by: his wife Benita Rangel of Muscatine; his children, Lizett Rangel of Muscatine and Lovell Ray Rangel of Muscatine; his pet Lobo; and his siblings, Rosanna Medrano of San Juan, Belen Marquez of Muscatine and Valentin Rangel (Susan) of Wilton.
