He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Kemper and Charlotte Kemper (Lobdell); his wife Patricia Frisbie; his stepchildren, Janet Jackson and Clyde Frisbie; and his stepsiblings, Travis Shankle and Patti Atwell.
He is survived by: his children, Darrin Kemper (Renee) of Letts, Chad Kemper and Lee Kirk (Brenda) of Davenport; his stepchildren, Candace Harland (Chuck) of Muscatine, Michelle Barnes of Washington, Lori Deloach (Dewayne) of Georgia, Jeff Hollenbeck (Lisa) of Muscatine, Mark Jackson of Muscatine and Bruce Jackson of Muscatine; and his sisters, Lois Thornburg of Texas, Gloria Batteau of Muscatine, Karen Rohm (Chuck) of Coralville and Myra Davis of Montpelier. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
