He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Harold and Pauline Mary Frye Irwin; his wife Judy; and his brothers, Kenneth and Gary Irwin.
He is survived by: his children, Laurie Schroeder (Tim), Christine Borich (Tom) and Matt Irwin (Kelly); his grandchildren, Bart Schroeder (Lauren), Kat Schroeder (Nick Starbeck-Miller), Blake Borich, Courtney Borich, Haleigh Borich, Noah Irwin and Madelyn Irwin; and his great grandchildren, Asher Schroeder, Finn Schroeder, Rowan Schroeder and Kane Irwin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for a tree in his honor at the Muscatine Arboretum.
