She was predeceased by: her parent Glen; her brother Wayne; and her former husband Adam Starkweather, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Brian Starkweather (Kelly) and Andrew Starkweather (Chell); her grandchildren, Allison Eagle (Ben), Taylor Spurling (Dallas), Brittany Edwards (Tyler), BreAnna Starkweather (Tanner), Jake Starkweather (Madalyn), Adam Starkweather, Mae Cox, Jr., Cox, Kylee Rumley, Kayla Miller (Jake), Paige Miller (Billy), Jamie Beal (Mila) and Dylan Beal (Kim); her great grandchildren, Keaton, Aiden, KElann, Avery, Nicole, Blaedon, Elaina, River, Bowen, Harlow, Dixi, Timber, Oakley, Sebastian, Tanner and Jahzelle; and her nieces, Beth Meyers (Jim) and Debbi Polston (Gary).
The family will be collecting teddy bears and art supplies to be donated to UIHC Stead Family Children's Hospital in Kay's name.
