She is survived by: her children, Maria Cavazos, Luz Moncivais Jr. (Debra), Manuel Moncivais (Connie), Tina Moncivais, Sylvia Hubble, Carmen Aswegan, Cynthia Soto (Gene), Joe Moncivais (Missy), Teresa Smith (Bob), David Moncivais and Sandra Staats; and her siblings, Pedro Castanon, Roberto Castanon and Ramona Pesina. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
