We are sad to announce that on March 17, 2025, at the age of 79, Maynard G. Palmer (Morning Sun, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Palmer and Margaret Palmer (Evans); his siblings, Dale Palmer, Faylon Palmer, Gladys Beenblossom, Dewayne Palmer, Harlon Palmer, Clair Palmer, Francis Palmer, Karl Palmer and Nadine Walker; and his sister-in-law Theresa Palmer.
He is survived by: his wife Dixie L. McCulley of Morning Sun; his son Sonny Palmer (Judy) of Winfield; his stepson Karl Wilz of Kirksville; his grandchildren, Missy Campbell of Mt. Pleasant, Kevin Palmer (Samantha) of Winfield and Jessica Palmer of Winfield; his great grandchildren, Madison, Julie, Jacie, Wyatt, Abigail, Timber, Oakley and Maxlynn; his great great grandchild Walker; and his siblings, Gary Palmer of Creston, Bob Palmer (Redna) of Muscatine, Loretta Andrew (Eugene) of Burlington, Nita Carlson (Jim) of New Port Ritchie and Jean Johnson (Joe) of Washington.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Maynard.
