It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Virginia Bovenmyer (Masonville, Iowa), who passed away on March 25, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Stimson and Hazel Stimson (Phillips); her husband Leon Bovenmyer; her daughter Virginia Biang; her sister Dorothy Sherman; and her great grandchild Maxwell Bovenmyer.
She is survived by: her children, David Bovenmyer (Dawn) of Ames, Steve Bovenmyer (Julie) of Ames, Dean Bovenmyer of Masonville and Carol Gilson (Eric) of Boone; her son-in-law Chris Biang of Madison, Wisconsin; her grandchild Twenty; and her brothers, Lloyd Stimson (Lee) of Strongsville, Harry Stimson (Andy Stimson) of Independence and Many. She is also survived by Twenty-nine Great Grandchildren.
Although Ruth was articulate with words, Alzheimer's robbed her of her ability to communicate.
