He was predeceased by: his parents, Jens Mikkelson and Emma Mikkelson (Madsen); his sons, Dennis Mikkelson and Paul Hesse; his son-in-law Bill Gauger; his granddaughter Hannah Hall; his parents-in-law, Wayne and Rosella Osgood; his brother-in-law Marvin Osgood; and his siblings, June Peck (Joe), Doris Mulhert (Vince) and Melvin Mikkelson (Gloria).
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Mikkelson; his children, Sue Gauger, Rick Hesse, Mark Hesse (Tammy) and Becky Hall (Mike); and his grandchildren, Gabe Hesse (Mandi), Naphtali Crouse (Mike), Josiah Hesse, Ben Hesse (Krystle), Chris Hesse (Bre), Melissa Loux (Matt), Tyler Hall, Hallie Harkin (Seth) and Emma Kruger (Nick). He is also survived by 17 Great-Grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
