It is with great sadness that we announce the death of LaVonne A. Jones (Mason City, Iowa), born in Hampton, Iowa, who passed away on September 1, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Conover and Sophie Conover (Kofoot) of Mason City; her husband Roland Jones; her parents-in-law, Fred, Mary Jones and Cecil Shreckengost of Mason City; her grandchildren, Alexandra Loden and Patrick Furleigh; and her son-in-law James Furleigh.
She is survived by: her sister Lorna Wales of Mason City; her children, Mary Loden (Mark) of Mason City, Dean Jones (Donna) of Rockford, Laura Furleigh of Mason City, Amy Miller (Mike) of Floyd and Paul Jones (Kristen Oglesby) of Kasson, MN; her grandchildren, Beth Irwin (Matt) of Skokie, IL, Brian Walker (Laurie) of Waverly, Emily Ploeger (Jess Ciavarelli), John Jones of Greene, Theresa Jones, Justice Jones of Rockford, Meagan Miller of Des Moines, Benjamin Miller (Tina) of Floyd, Emma Miller of Floyd, Amelia and Miranda Ackely of Boyd, WI; her great grandchildren, Joshua Sande of Decorah, Evan, Nora Walker of Waverly and Ethan Irwin of Skokie, IL.; and her nephews, Craig Wales (LaNae), Robert Wales and David Wales of Mason City. She is also survived by four great-nieces and nephews and their children.
