He is survived by: his children, Beth and Troop; his wife Donna Troester; his sons, Andy Martin (Julie) of Cedar Rapids, Chris Martin (Mandi) of Waterloo and Steven Martin (Katie) of Iowa City; his grandchildren, Kirk, Kaleb, Becca, Brent, Mady, Michael, Pearl, Field and Dory; his siblings, Bob Martin (Pat), Paul Martin (Diane), Wayne Martin (Nicki), Irene Martin, Deb Martin, Nancy Umphress (Denny) and Christy Martin; his siblings-in-law, Tracy Madden (Tom) and Mark Troester (Rondee); and his aunt Carol Pueggel.
