He is survived by: his former spouse Tracy Goodman-Malamuth; his children, Ben Smith (Jaime) of Clear Lake and Nicole Stein (David) of Iowa City; his grandchildren, Hannah Reick, Hunter Reick, Hayden Reick, Bentley Smith, Rigby Stein and Ian Stein; his brother David Smith (Faith) of Sale Creek, TN; and his aunt Lavonne Smidt (Gene) of Kanawha.
