He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Sahr and Sarah "Margaret" Sahr; his siblings, Milford, Arnold, Paul Sahr, Eugene and Jane Roberts; his grandchildren, Troy Andrew Sahr and Bria Sahr; and his daughter-in-law Sarah Sahr.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Halverson; his children, Lorrie Young (Mark) of Mason City, Tim Sahr and Troy Sahr (Penny); and his grandchildren, Christopher Young, Ashley Schriver, Kallie Cooper, Reyna Reindl, Jordan Young, Matthew Young, Nathan Sahr, Cody Sahr, Gabrielle Young, Alex Young, Patricia Corkery, Caleb Sahr, Daisy Young, Elia Sahr, Bostyn Young, Katie, Chantel Hixson and McKenzie Halferty.
