Arlene J. Van Horn Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Arlene J. Van Horn of Mason City, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Arlene left this world on February 24, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Lester and Bernice Lester (Watts); her son Craig Van Horn; her granddaughter Bess Amanda Van Horn; her sister Betty McLaughlin; her brother-in-law Merle McLaughlin; her son-in-law David Gaubatz; and her friends, Carol Pinneke and Lucille Feldus.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Gaubatz and Chip Van Horn (Teresa); her grandchildren, Connie Johnson, Keri Olson, Bradley Johnson, Anna and Jenna Van Horn; her great grandchildren, Tessa (Dillion), Addison, Landon, Philip, Robert, Alexis, Nicholas and Aliseo; and her friend Marlyn "Jo" Lienemann. She is also survived by nephews and a niece.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Major Erickson Funeral Home (111 N Pennsylvania Ave, Mason City, IA 50401). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grace United Methodist Church (200 14th St NW, Mason City, IA 50401).
