With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ardes VaLois Bier of Mason City, Iowa, born in Swaledale, Iowa, who passed away on March 7, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Polsdofer and Ella Polsdofer (Trana); her husband Glenn Bier; her son Ronald Bier; and her grandson Joshua Bier.

She is survived by: her son David Bier (Marcia) of Mason City; her granddaughter Jennifer Hjelle (Jake); her great grandchildren, Dylan and Dakota Hjelle; and her brother Ed Polsdofer (Ethel). She is also survived by friends and extended family.
