He was predeceased by: his parents, James Fitzgerald and Berniece Fitzgerald (Hempy). He is survived by: his wife Janice Fitzgerald; his children, Steve Fitzgerald (Linnae) of Monticello, David Fitzgerald (Patricia) of Springville, Ann Knupp of Springville, Matt Fitzgerald of Olin and Mary Nelson (Rick) of Cedar Rapids; and his stepchildren, Janlyn Slach (Gary) of West Branch, Deborah Schuette (Lyle) of Wichita, Kansas and Jay Bailey of Wichita, Kansas. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
