She was predeceased by: her significant other Terry Canning; her son William Canning; and her parents, George P Barrett and Lenore Barrett (Christensen). She is survived by: her children, Michael Canning (Carrie) of Cedar Rapids, Cathy Canning of Brownsville, Vicky van den Berg (Jon) of Cayucos and Thomas Canning of Hiawatha. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
