It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nita Ann Dirks of Maquoketa, Iowa, born in Anamosa, Iowa, who passed away on April 15, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Farrington and Eleanor Farrington (Pavin); her husband Robert G. Dirks; her sons, Berdette and Melvin; her children-in-law, Bev Dirks and Johnson; her great grandchild Tricia Durkop; and her siblings, Patty Zimmerman, Carol Heady, Iris Mettler, Samara Sams, John Farrington and Bill Farrington.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Neunaber of Anamosa, IA, Robin Gibson (Jack) of Elwood, IA, Ricky Dirks of Lost Nation, IA, Mark Dirks of Maquoketa, IA, Royce Johnson of Sabula, IA, Walter Dirks of Dubuque, IA, Matthew Dirks (Becky) of Maquoketa, IA and JoAnn Clark of Onslow, IA; her daughter-in-law Ellie Dirks of Maquoketa, IA; and her siblings, Norma Arndt, Paul Farrington of Las Vegas, NV, Robert Farrington, David Farrington of Las Vegas, NV, Larry Farrington of Anamosa, IA, Linda McGovern of Anamosa, IA, Tony Kurth, Judy Howard, Dale Farrington, Thomas "Hank" Farrington of Anamosa, IA and Becky Fronzaglio.
