It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Trekell of Maquoketa, Iowa, who passed away on November 14, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janet Trekell to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Gartman and Bertha Gartman (Gallagher); her husband Paul; and her close friend Roger Filloon. She is survived by: her daughters, Debra Bates (Jim) of Davenport, Michelle Anderson (Kevin) of Coal Valley and Sherry Rud (Daniel) of Eau Claire; her stepchildren, Michael Trekell (Sara) of Sartell, Minnesota and Linda Lowry (Mike) of Kansas; her grandsons, Wyatt Tabor of Iowa City and Joshua Basting; her children, John, Dustin, Kyle, Jazamyne, Jacob of Davenport and Racheal Jett (Sean); her grandchildren, Aryeh, Audrina, Avrie of Davenport and Trista Cronkleton (Chad); her great grandchild Corbin of Donahue Iowa; her grandson Tyler Anderson (Kari); her great grandchildren, Kai, Eli of Coal Valley and Alexandra Rud; and also, Colten, Kaysen of Eau Claire, Alison Rud, Will Caspersen of Eau Claire, Tony Watts (Rachel), Sylar, Zach, Tyler of Kansas, Leah Watts Bohrer (Shanna), Daniel, Korianna of Wichita, Kansas, Ethan Trekell (Kelsie) of Illinois, Avalon Olson (Joey), Truman and Sullivan of Sartell. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren.
Masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be practiced to ensure the health and safety of everyone attending.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed in her honor to Camp Courageous, First Lutheran Church of Maquoketa, or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
