He is survived by: his former wife Frances Jeanne O'Brien; his wife Fran Spain of Maquoketa, IA; his children, Todd Spain (Joan) of Elwood, IA, Tammi Paulsen (Dave) of Lisbon, IA and Chad Spain (Chris) of Maquoketa, IA; and his siblings, Dean Spain (Pam) of Maquoketa, IA, Alan Spain of Clinton, IA, Dennis Spain (Renee) of DeWitt, IA, Donna Determan of DeWitt, IA, Patricia Held (Gene) and Diane Seng (Mel) of Davenport, IA..
