She was predeceased by: her parents, John Jacob Lyons (Jake) and Hazel Lyons; and her siblings, John Lyons and Marjory Walker (Charlie). She is survived by: her daughter Teresa Kay Holcomb (Spaur) of Knoxville; her significant other Charles E. Sims (Chas) of Pershing, IA; her great grandchild Shirley; her granddaughters, Kaleen Adams (Rob) and Angie Deardorff; her great grandchildren, Shane Jones (Amy), Lyndsay Strom (Justin), Megan Wheelock (Brady), Nicole Fagan John (Dominique) and Payne Hoyt; and her great great grandchild Jackson Jones. She is also survived by children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials in Shirley's name may be directed to the Marion County Humane Society of Knoxville, IA.
