He was predeceased by: his father Robert Junior Hanawalt, Sr.; his cousins, Jodie Christy, Rhonda Secora and Wanda Ore; his uncle Ronnie Shilling; and his mother-in-law Doris Osborn.

He is survived by: his mother Shirley Evonne Hanawalt (Shilling); his wife Darlene; his children, Austin, Dalton and Christina; his brother Bobby Hanawalt; and his father-in-law Dale Osborn. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.

Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
