She was predeceased by: her former husband Cliffton Forbes; her granddaughter Karlie Kingery; her mother Karen Sue Heaton (Koons); and her siblings, Nancy Lorraine Heaton, Jacklene Eudora Parker and Garret Wade Heaton (Gary).

She is survived by: her children, Kalene Renae, Kyle Kenneth, Brandon Michael Pettyjohn of Knoxville and Lindsay Lorraine Pettyjohn of Knoxville; her husband Kirk Brown of Knoxville; her children, Katie McCreery (Daniel Martin) of Knoxville, Benjamin, Kolton Tille, Timmy, Ethan McCreery Kyle Bazer (Sumer Dunn) of Pella, MaKenzie, Ryder, Chase, Haven Bazer and Jazzlyn Brown; her father Jack Ray Heaton; and her brother Martin Ray Heaton (Anna). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
