He was predeceased by: his parents, Mose Coblentz and Lizzie Coblentz (Bontrager); his son-in-law Ryan Knepp; and his grandson Paul B. Hanna. He is survived by: his wife Lena Ruth of Kalona; his children, Jerry Dean Coblentz (Phoebe) of Tallahassee, FL, Daniel Jay Coblentz of Rice Lake, WI, Dallas Eugene Coblentz of Kalona, Dena Sue Foster (Keith) of Kalona, LaVerda Fay Knepp of Kalona and Denise Marie Fanatia (Joe) of Kalona; and his brothers, Mose Junior Coblentz (Martha) of Middlebury, IN, Verton Coblentz (Sharon) of Goshen, IN and Laverne Coblentz (Beverly) of Wakarusa, IN. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.
