Mary R. Knebel Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary R. Knebel (Jesup, Iowa), born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on May 15, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthias Ortner and Margaret Loretta Ortner (Brown); her husband John Joseph Knebel; and her siblings, Robert Ortner, John Ortner, Dorothy Youngblut, Kathleen Sorenson and Dolores Kimmel.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Freeman (Chad) of Independence, IA and Larry Knebel (Janet) of Webb City, MO; her grandchildren, Jordan Knebel (Jessica), Colton Rommann, Johnna Rommann and Courtney Freeman; and her siblings, Richard Ortner of Jesup and Helen Weber of Raymond, IA.. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Memorials will be directed to St. Athanasius Catholic School in Jesup and to Camp Courageous of Iowa in Monticello, IA.
