With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leslie M. Reinertson of Jesup, Iowa, born in West Union, Iowa, who passed away on February 6, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman R. Reinertson and Hilda Reinertson (Kleppe); his wife Arlene Janice McCarty (McGlaughlin); and his siblings, Rodney, Daryl, Richard Reinertson and Anna Mae Scruggs.

He is survived by: his children, Leslie Reinertson, II (Teresa) of Maysville, NC, Neil Reinertson of Washburn, IA, Jonathan Buffalo (Sue) of Tama, IA, Jo Ellen Reinertson of Marshalltown, IA, Karina Reinertson of Denver, CO and Erica Reinertson of Belmont, NH; and his stepsons, Gary McCarty (Kathleen) of Florida and James McCarty (Kristi) of Jesup. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 8 step-great grandchildren.

Memorials will be directed to Pump-Scheer American Legion Post #342, in Jesup.
