She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Charles Kesl and Edna Caroline Kesl (Backen); her husband Roger Lee Alston; her grandson Nicholas Alston; her great grandchild Hayli Kresser; and her sister Sandra Raum.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Bovy (John) of Buckingham, IA, Mary, Kenneth Alston of Evansdale, Roger Alston, Jr. (Carrie) of Waterloo, IA, Michael Alston (Susan) of Spring, TX and Charles Alston of Jesup; her siblings, Donna Stone (Mike) of Marshalltown, IA, Gary Kesl (Jennifer Blohm) of Traer, IA, James Kesl (Sherry) of Tama and Robert Kesl of Elberon, IA; and her caregiver Courtney Roose. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
