He is survived by: his wife Teresa Youngblut; his children, Tammy Schmitz (Ken), Roch Schmitz (Teresa), Gina Schmitz (Arlette), Mark Schmitz (Kerry), Kara Kortenkamp (Duke), Bruce Schmitz (Erin) and Krista Even (Jeff); his grandchildren, Beau, Jackie, Will, Kaylee, Lauren, Dylan, Christian, Kaitlyn, Anna, Olivia, Dalton, Caleb, Ruby, Sydney of Hayden, JD and Jacob; and his siblings, Mary Kurt, Roger Schmitz (Gloria), Tom Schmitz (Mary), Doris Schmidt (Larry) and Rita Schmidt (Don).
