Harold D. Allen Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harold D. Allen of Jesup, Iowa, born in Springdale, Arkansas, who passed away on August 24, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Louis Allen and Louinza Rachel Allen (Gabbard). He is survived by: his wife Verlyn "Verdi" Allen of Jesup; and his children, Christi Palmer (Dennis) of Brandon, IA, Kara Backes (Randy) of Jesup, Craig Allen (Mary Lee) of Independence and Kelly Allen (Valerie) of Peosta, IA. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and one on the way; 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Memorials will be directed to Jesup Public Library, Cedar Valley Hospice and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
