He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank F. Amfahr and Dorothy Anna Amfahr (Frost); his former wife Dolly; his daughter Therese Judisch; his great grandchild Easton Amfahr; and his sister Suzanne Rahlf.
He is survived by: his friend Donna; his wife Donna Irene Miner (Moody) of Jesup; his children, Tina Amfahr-Parris (Mark Neary) and Tom Amfahr (Cindy) of New Hampton, IA; his stepchildren, Janet Orr (Jim) of Rowley, IA, Bobbi Schell (Randy) of Cascade, IA, Karen Schumacher (Bob) of Jesup and Dr. Tom Miner (Kris) of Dyersville, IA; and his siblings, James Amfahr (Judy) of Ames, IA and Ella Amfahr Lins of Decorah, IA.. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.
Memorials will be directed to St. Athanasius Church and Dollars for Scholars.
