She was predeceased by: her father Gary Fischels; her grandparents, Bud, Bernice Meyers, Peter J. and Rosella Fischels (Huberty); and her parents-in-law, Floyd and Louise Koob.

She is survived by: her mother Peggy Fischels (Meyers); her husband Andy Koob of Jesup; her sons, Jonathan Koob and Dalton Koob (Haylee Sparks); her siblings, Amy Neith, Todd Fischels (Angi), Chris Pickering (Mike) of Swisher, IA and Kathy DeGroote (Curtis) of Colorado Springs, CO; and her sister-in-law Julie Kraus (Duane) of Jesup. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.

A memorial fund has been established and will be directed to the church, Jesup Ambulance Association, and a scholarship in Dawn's name for the education of future healthcare workers.
