He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius August Wellman and Mabel Mae Wellman (Elliott); his wife Sally June Weber; his grandson Corey Wellman; and his sisters, Lora Schares, Audrey Breen and June Bulman.
He is survived by: his children, Brad Wellman (Dawn) of St. Louis, MO, Vincent Wellman (Jeanne) of Raymond, IA, Don Wellman (Sherri) of Crestview, FL and Shani Brumm (John) of Mason City, IA; his grandchildren, Melissa Kunze (Kevin), Daniel Wellman (Amanda), Sara Lashbrook (Brian), Trent Wellman (Stephanie) and Ashley Uhlenhopp (Rick); and his brother Roy Wellman (Joan) of Denver, IA.. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
