It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Lentzkow (Independence, Iowa), who passed away on April 28, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Moore and Ethel Moore; her husband Oscar Lentzkow; her sons, Jerry, Larry and Frank; and her sisters, Bessie McNulty, Mary Kimball and Mabel Kuper.
She is survived by: her children, John Lentzkow (Robin) of Marion and Jane Stickrod (Dean) of Ames; her grandchildren, Jonathen Lentzkow of Marion, Jill Smith (Spencer) of Huxley, Jeff Stickrod (Lexsea) of Bellevue and Joel Stickrod of Nashville, TN; her great grandchildren, Chloe, Landon, Breven, Griffin Smith of Huxley, Hudson, Jackson and Adelyn Stickrod of Bellevue; her brother Frank Moore of Cresco; and her children, Austin Moore (Lori) of Oelwein and Stephanie Castillo (Chris). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the CDC Guidelines regarding COVID-19, a private family graveside service will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence. A Celebration of Life will be held once the COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for their choice of distribution at a later date.
