It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Earnest Higdon (Independence, Iowa), who passed away on September 15, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Higdon and Jessie Carrol Higdon (Snell); and his siblings, Earl, Sam, Horace, Jim, William and Elouise.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Higdon of Independence; and his children, Nelda Sue, Gene, Dean, Bob Jr., Brenda, John, Carol, Pam Dalton of Independence, Neil Higdon of Independence, Irene Gerken of Independence, Jessie Pullin of Waterloo and Samuel Higdon of Texas. He is also survived by many grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
