With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard E. Engen of Independence, Iowa, born in Clarion, Iowa, who passed away on December 17, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hanson and Alma Henrietta Engen (Marcus); and his daughter Rachel. He is survived by: his daughters, Sally Engen of Charles City and Robyn Engen of Independence.
