He is survived by: his children, DeeAnn Sage (Eric) of Dunkerton, Debbie Merfeld (Mark) of Independence and Daniel Eschen (Anita) of Independence; and his sister Darlas Reilly of Humboldt, Iowa.. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
