She was predeceased by: her parents, H. A. "Joe" Lenius and Charlotte Marie Lenius (Miller); her husband Wesley Howard Cappel; and her siblings, Richard Lenius, Geraldine Nelson and Burdetta Derr.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Cappel, Sr. (Dorothy) of Winthrop, IA and Cynthia Swarts (Doug) of Galesburg, IL. She is also survived by five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; as well as many nieces and nephews.
