Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Marvel Fern Dennie of Independence, Iowa, born in Dunkerton, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 89, on December 27, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Funk and Fern Funk (Mueller); her husband Dale William Dennie; and her siblings, Donald Funk, Melvin Funk and Lucille Burk.
She is survived by: her children, Gerald Dennie (Sandy) of Winthrop, Sherie McLaren (David) of Independence, Terry Dennie (Pam) of Winthrop, Karla Hamdorf (Kevin) of Cedar Rapids and Chad Dennie of Las Vegas, Nevada; her grandchildren, Hollie Meyer (Rustin), Kristi Hoefer (Adam), Brooks McLaren, Nick Dennie (Katelin), Keith Dennie (Molly), Kreslyn Toyne (Chris) and Alexandria Dennie; her great grandchildren, Harrison Meyer, Braxton McLaren, Carter McLaren, Hazel Dennie, Hadley Ericson, Jackson Toyne, Tyler Toyne and Allison Toyne; her sister Dorothy Holley of Duluth, Minnesota; and her sisters-in-law, Helen Donnelly of Independence and JoAnn Funk of Independence. She is also survived by Nieces & Nephews.
Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings and the recent surge in the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing will be required. Those in attendance are required to wear a mask.
