She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry I. Gates and Alverda Milletta Gates (Angelow). She is survived by: her children, Sharon Kolosik of Marion, Ralph Jones (Carol) of Independence, Robert Jones (Doreen) of Independence and Roger Jones (Vickey) of Independence. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside service will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence.
