Andersen (Dillon); his former wife Susan Greenwood; his wife Zelda Andersen; his daughters, Laura Bjorheim (Donnie) of Galesville, WI and Lynn Schwinghammer (Joseph); his daughter-in-law Amanda Buchtela of Oelwein, IA; his son Chad Stelter (Lisa) of Independence, IA; his grandchildren, Ashley, Katie Buchtela, Brandon Schwinghammer, Troy and Matt Stelter; and his siblings, Carol Hilliard (Wayne) of Brandon, IA and Don Andersen (Cherly) of Walker, IA. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
