We are sad to announce that on November 8, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Jo Anne Nero of Independence, Iowa. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Fangman and Eleanor Fangman; and her sister Carol. She is survived by: her son John (Sherry); her grandson Elliott of Prairie Village; her daughter Mary of Denver; and her siblings, Mary Pat (Dale) of Robins, Rick of Independence, Karen (Randy) of Independence and Donny (Alice) of Monti. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Face masks and social distancing are required.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Buchanan County Animal Shelter or to another charity of your choice.

“So sad to hear about Jo Anne. I worked w/ her for years selling her wonderful homes in Staley Farms. She was a friend. We met for lunch a couple of times in the last yrs and talked about how we both made it through the crash of housing and what tough times those were. I knew she was moving to Iowa and had talked to her by text a couple of times. Her last text was in Oct. She said, "I'm doing great very happy here, far clear air" What a great lady!
