Jerome Wester Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 15, 2021, at the age of 93, Jerome Wester of Independence, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert P. Wester and Christine Wester (Becker); his wife Bettye Blocker; his siblings, Lora Kohl, Raphael, Cleo and Eugene Wester; and his son-in-law LeRoy Olsen.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Wester (Kristine), Kristi Hiller (Brian) and Kathleen Olsen; and his sister Dorothy Blocker. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

“Jim was an amazing man. He was so thoughtful and kind. We at Redeemer enjoyed him and Bettye so much. He had a talent with wood and we enjoyed the table decors he made for our church. We will miss him very very much but will always have part of him in our church with his wood projects. God bless you all and may he bring you comfort. Jim will now be using his talent in heaven.
