James R. Elson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James R. Elson of Independence, Iowa, born in Shellsburg, Iowa, who passed away on March 18, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Earl Elson and Elva Marie Elson (Weir). He is survived by: his wife Marian Agnes Fuller of Independence; his children, Rod Elson (Becky) of Jesup, Brad Elson (Sandy) of New Virginia, IA, Todd Elson (Kathy) of New Meadows, ID and Delene Donnelly (Emmett) of Independence; and his brother Donald Elson (Carol) of California. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
Memorials will be directed to Camp Courageous of Iowa in Monticello, and to the Cedar Valley Hospice.
